Silver Trail Hiking, Yukon Wilderness Activities, Alpine Touring
About Keno Lodge
Relax in a cozy, self-contained cabin and experience the simple life in a small frontier community. Each cabin has a woodstove, TV and a very well-equipped kitchen with a coffee maker. Each unit sleeps up to four people. Bedding and towels are provided. Cabin 1 features a outdoor toilet, cabin #2 has a washroom with sink and toilet. Showers are available in a separate building.

Pets are welcomed. Breakfast is served in the main house upon request.
In the evening enjoy the large sauna cabin with cedar lined sauna-chamber and a room to rest. Bath-towels are provided. Since firing up the sauna is both labour and  wood intensive, we have to ask a small fee.

About the area
Keno City lies nestled in the mountains at the end of the Silver Trail. Its beautiful surroundings and "off the beaten track" setting have inspired several artists to settle here, boosting the population to 20. Take a walking tour through Keno City and you are taking a "stroll through history". Experience northern friendliness and hospitality in a truly unique frontier town. And while in town, be sure to visit the Keno City Mining Museum, one of the finest museums in the territory. Next to the Museum is the new Alpine Interpretive Center with plenty of information about the region.
A drive up Keno Hill to the famous signpost is not to be missed. The road winds its way to an elevation of 6000 feet, and the view from the top is well worth the trip. Keno City offers the outdoor enthusiast unspoiled nature and quiet solitude year-round. A network of trails criss-crosses the landscape through historic mine sites, offering some of the most spectacular mountain vistas in the North. You can hike or bike in the summer; cross-country ski or snowmobile in the winter. There are trails for every level of ability. The many lakes and rivers nearby provide great fishing and canoeing. Wildlife viewing is plentiful here.
