The three week driving holiday features all major highlights of the Yukon Territory and Alaska. Start your journey in Whitehorse and travel along the south Klondike Highway to Skagway, gateway to famous Chilkoot Trail. Explore the bustling Skagway goldrush town before taking a short ferry trip across Lynn Canal to Haines and continue on to Kluane National Park. Spend the entire day hiking in Kluane Park, relax or go horseback riding! Travel along the Alaska Highway and visit McCarthy/Kennicott in the heart of Wrangell/St. Elias National Park. During a scenic flight to Mt. Braeburn or Mt. Wrangell you will see the impressive rugged mountain areas. Enjoy the ferry cruise across Prince William Sound before arriving in Seward, gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Attend a glacier cruise and wittness huge hunks of ice crushing into the ocean. You are off to explore the Kenai Peninsula where you have the opportunity to fish for king salmon or raft down the Kenai River. Denali National Park is another highlight of your vacation where you attend a wildlife tour deep into the park. Watch caribous, bears, moose and many birds in their natural surrounding. Travel further north and visit the goldrush towns of Fairbanks and Dawson City before returning to Whitehorse.
