Day 01 Arrival Day in Calgary, AB
Plan to arrive in Calgary by 5:00 PM today. Airport transfers included. Join your tour director and traveling companions this evening for a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 02 Calgary – Grande Prairie, AB
"North to Alaska!" as you travel through central Alberta to Peace River Country. Grande Prairie, northern Alberta’s most progressive city, is today’s destination. (B)

Day 03 Grand Prairie – Fort Nelson, BC
Dawson Creek, BC, marks the beginning of the legendary Alaska Highway - Mile "0" of 1,422 miles (2,275 km). Continue northwest on the Alaska Highway over a rolling landscape, arriving in Fort Nelson for the night. (B)

Day 04 Fort Nelson – Watson Lake, Yukon
Today's journey traverses peaceful valleys and alpine meadows. An afternoon stop at Liard Hot Pools allows for a soothing dip in the thermal hot springs. Later today visit the "Sign Forest" at Watson Lake - more than 10,000 signs brought by visitors from around the globe. Add to this collection if you like. (B)

Day 05 Watson Lake – Whitehorse, Yukon
An incredible landscape unfolds today as you travel through the southern Yukon to its capital city, Whitehorse - a proud city with a unique combination of pioneer values and urban sophistication. Visit the SS Klondike National Historic Site on arrival and spend this evening exploring on your own. (B)

Day 06 Whitehorse - Beaver Creek, Yukon
Picturesque lakes and vast forests flank the route today enroute to colorful Haines Junction at the gateway to Kluane National Park. Travel the Alaska Highway with the magnificent St. Elias Range to the west and then along Kluane Lake. Pass historic Burwash Landing on your way to Beaver Creek. (B)

Day 07 Beaver Creek - Fairbanks, Alaska
Today continue northwest along the Alcan Route into central Alaska, following the massive Tanana River valley with the towering Alaska Range to the south. A late-afternoon arrival is planned into Fairbanks, the State’s second-largest city, for a two-night stay. (B)

Day 08 Fairbanks
The Binkley family welcomes you aboard the Riverboat Discovery for a leisurely yet informative journey along the banks of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Explore on your own this afternoon before joining the group for dinner and entertainment at Alaskaland this evening. (B,D)

Day 09 Fairbanks - Denali National Park, Alaska
A morning start today from Fairbanks to Denali National Park, home to more than 40 species of mammals and 155 species of birds. Here you will be hosted to a guided 6-8 hour nature tour of the Park including a boxed lunch. Be sure to bring a camera to try to catch a glimpse of magnificent Mount McKinley, North America’s highest peak. (B, L)

Day 10 Denali National Park – Anchorage, Alaska
Depart Denali this morning for Anchorage, Alaska’s most cosmopolitan city. Enjoy shopping and the sights in downtown Anchorage. Choose from one of many fine restaurants and pubs for an evening “out on the town”. (B)

Day 11 Glacier Cruising in Prince William Sound
An incredible sightseeing journey is instore today as you cruise the calm protected waters of well known Prince William Sound to see as many as 26 glaciers in one day! See magnificent tidewater glaciers calving into the sea and watch for sea otters, seals, humpback and orca whales and the over 200 species of birds that inhabit the Sound. Today’s experience will surely be one of the many highlights of your travels through Alaska! (B,L)

Day 12 Anchorage – Tok, Alaska
The scenery continues to fascinate as you drive through Alaska's great farming country in the Matanuska Valley to Glenallen. Skirt along Wrangell St. Elias National Park on the Glenn Highway to Tok Junction overnight. (B)

Day 13 Tok – Dawson City, Yukon
Leaving Alaska today return to the Yukon and travel for part of the day through the lonely and remote lands of the “Top of World Highway”. Many people consider this to be a true highlight of their visit north as its breathtaking vistas typify the “Great Land”. Today's destination is the heart of the Klondike, Dawson City. (B,L)

Day 14 Dawson City – The Gold Fields of the Klondike
With buildings faithfully maintained in period styling, the whole ambiance of Dawson can only be described as "magical". It was here that so many came in the late 1800’s seeking gold. This little village situated on the huge Yukon River will be the peak experience of the trip for many. You'll visit an actual gold-mining dredge and try panning for gold yourself! This evening try your luck at the Diamond Tooth Gertie’s Gambling Hall. (B)   

Day 15 Dawson City – Whitehore, Yukon
Southbound today along the Klondike Highway you will pass Lake Laberge - made famous by Robert Service's poem, "The Cremation of Sam McGee". Return to Whitehorse and this evening take in the North's most popular revue - "The Frantic Follies". (B)

Day 16 Whitehorse – Skagway - Juneau, Alaska
All aboard for the historic White Pass and Yukon Rail journey from Fraser to Skagway! Follow the old White Pass Trail where thousands of goldseekers struggled on their way to the goldfields of the Yukon. The scenery here is breathtaking! On arrival in the port village of Skagway explore this quaint area on your own before preparing to board the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry for an afternoon sailing to Juneau, Alaska’s capital city. (B)

Day 17 Juneau
Often called “Little San Francisco”, Juneau invites exploration on foot because distances here are not great. Today you will tour to spectacular Mendenhall Glacier and return to Juneau for some free time. Your tour director will also suggest optional activities in which you may take part - including flightseeing, hiking, whale watching or a tramride. (B)

Day 18 Inside Passage
Today board the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry for an overnight sailing to Prince Rupert. Cabins are guaranteed on the ferry; some quad sharing. Although not a cruise ship in the general sense, the ferry experience is both pleasant and interesting as the ship calls at various communities along Alaska’s coast. Depending on the time available you may be able to disembark at some of these ports for a brief visit. Be sure to take in the lectures given on board the ferry by National Parks guides enroute!

Day 19 Prince Rupert, BC
After a day of cruising through the magnificent Inside Passage the Alaska State Ferry’s first Canadian port of call is Prince Rupert - home for the night.

Day 20 Prince Rupert – Prince George, BC
The Yellowhead Highway winds through the Coast Mountains and then the rich farmland of North-Central British Columbia. Vast forests and sparkling rivers create a wonderful panorama. Today’s destination is dynamic Prince George. (B, L)

Day 21 Prince George – Jasper National Park, AB
Continuing eastward today you will re-enter the great Canadian Rockies. Be sure to save some film for a shot of Mount Robson, Canada’s highest peak. Enjoy the friendly ambiance of the mountain community of Jasper for the balance of the day. (B)

Day 22 Jasper – Icefields Parkway – Banff, AB
The Icefields Parkway is often referred to as the most scenic roadway in the world. Towering mountains dotted with age-old glaciers, thundering waterfalls with their very own rainbows - today's journey is truly a feast for the eye. Explore Athabasca Glacier, the largest accessible glacier in the Rockies in a “snocoach”. Later you will pay a visit to beautiful Lake Louise before arriving in Canada’s premier National Park, Banff, for an overnight stay. Spend the evening exploring the shops, enjoying the scenery, and relaxing. (B)

Day 23 Banff - Calgary
Enjoy a leisurely morning on your own in Banff. Then join your tour director and travelling companions for a sumptuous "farewell luncheon" at the historic Banff Springs Hotel. Later a brief guided tour of the Hotel will introduce you to some of the folklore and history of this famous "castle in the Rockies". Transfer to Calgary International Airport - the tour will end at approximately 3:30 PM today. (L)
