Yukon Territory Guided Dog Mushing Adventure
Sled Dog Tours from Whitehorse
1 Day Dog Sledding Trip
Spend a day on the runners behind your own team of racing huskies! Learn about running and caring for your team of Alaskan huskies by veteran sled dog racers.
Our mushing camp starts with us getting you prepared in warm winter gear. Then you'll learn the basics of mushing and spend a short time being pulled behind a snowmobile to get the feel of the sled before you're hooked up with your own sled dog team.
A small team is then hooked up for you (you're welcome to help!), and you're off to feel the thrill and beauty of running with dog power. You spend the afternoon enjoying the Southern Lakes scenery. There's lots of wildlife in the area, and travelling by nearly silent dog sled greatly increases the chances of glimpsing a caribou or wolf along the trails. The whisper of the sled runners on the snow is a sound you'll long remember when you're looking back on this experience.
A hearty homemade lunch will be supplied and enjoyed by a campfire. Sip on a hot chocolate and warm up for your run home.
4 - 5 Days Dog Sledding Trip
Take the opportunity to travel through remote scenery with a well-trained team of Alaskan huskies. Feel the thrill if mushing your own dogs and experience winter camping.
Customize your trip to your needs and desires. Our groups are small – 4 persons maximum so we can design your trip to your level. Overnight trips include stories from the trail around a campfire while enjoying home cooked meals.

Chilkoot Challenge: (5 days / 4 nights)
Mush your team down a section of the historic Chilkoot Trail. First day is spent in Tagish learning all about dog mushing and perfecting your sled handling skills. The next day travel to the White Pass summit unload our sleds and head off down the trail.

Yukon Quest Trail Trips: (4 days / 3 nights)
Customize your own Yukon Quest Trail trip. Contact us with your expectations and we can customize a trip to your level and expectations. Come see the Quest trail for you and experience the peace and beauty of the country while traveling with your own “Quest team”.
6 Days Dog Sledding Trip
Have you always dreamed of driving your own dog team through unspoiled wilderness?  Then escape civilization with us on a Yukon vacation!

All of our trips are guided by veteran guides with decades of experience in wilderness travel.  Most trips are guided by veterans who have completed the 1,000-mile (1,600 km) Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race several times.

Main Season (January - March:

After picking you up in Whitehorse, we drive out the North Klondike Highway to Lake Laberge. We cross the lake to our home by dog team, snowmobile or, if our ice road is in, by truck. After lunch, you will drive a small team of dogs on our nearby beginner trails. On the next 2 days, as you learn the basics of dog mushing, you build up to a slightly larger team and more challenging trails.

On Day 4, we drive our teams north to a comfortable log cabin on the Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race trail, where we spend the night.  This cabin is our base for Day 5, when our dog teams carry us farther along the Quest trail. We stop for lunch, then return to the cabin for the night. The following day, we mush our dogs back home.

On Day 7, we explore another trail near our home or redo your favorite trail from earlier in the week, then return you to Whitehorse for an afternoon flight or evening hotel accommodation.

Early Season (December):
At the beginning of your journey, drive your own small team of huskies or ride in the sled of a larger team.  As you gain skill and confidence, more dogs will join your team.

On the first day, we pick you up in Whitehorse and drive to the starting point, then travel through forests by dog team to a large cabin where we stay the night.

The second day, we mush to our wilderness home on Lake Laberge.  Then, we either take one day trip out of home base, followed by a 4-day expedition, camping in a heated wall tent; OR, we base out of home, returning to our cabins each night, then go back the trail we came in.  Your choice!

Day 7 finishes back at the starting point and we return you to Whitehorse that afternoon/evening.
